Job Overview:
99¸£ÀûÊÓÆµare a WV based video, broadband and phone provider serving West Virginia and Ohio. 99¸£ÀûÊÓÆµare in need of an experienced cable construction lineman for Kanawha County.
Responsibilities & Duties:
Install poles and place wires or cables.
Place aerial coax and fiber cable.
String and maintain wire (Pulling, Fiber Splicing, Clipping, Stranding, & Spacing Line).
Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair overhead fiber lines.
Read and interpret engineering plans.
Safely climb poles and ladders and adhere to all safety policies.
Enter confined spaces while bending, twisting, and reaching.
Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Lift over 70 lbs.
Keep assigned company vehicle interior and exterior clean and organized at all times.
Keep detailed record of work activity.
Complete assigned tasks in an efficient and timely manner.
On call rotation - Must provide after hours support in emergency situations.
Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s), and overtime as necessary.
Qualifications:
1 year previous lineman, telecommunications experience preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent computer skills, electronics, and audio/video knowledge.
Valid driver's license necessary.
